The Spartans Football Club
is delighted to announce the signing of Zara Andrews on a short-term deal until the end of the season. Previously a member of Hearts Academy, Zara has an outstanding football journey across different age groups. Representing Scotland Women’s National Team U-16s on two occasions with 4 goals, Zara also lifted the SWF Youth Scottish Cup trophy last year with Hearts after a 4-2 win over Celtic in the final.
Upon Zara’s signing with the club, head coach Jack Beesley commented: “I’m delighted to welcome Zara to the club. She’s another player I’ve worked with previously and is now at the point in her development where she needs exposure to 1st team football. Although this is her first experience of senior football she undoubtedly has the technical qualities and football IQ to hit the ground running. Importantly, centre-forward was an area we were very light in so I look forward to Zara making a valuable contribution during the remainder of the season.”
