We are thrilled to confirm that two integral members of our squad, long-serving Spartan Ronaigh Douglas and dynamic midfielder Eilidh Davies, have committed their futures to Spartans F.C. by signing new 12-month contract extensions.
Their continued presence is a significant boost as we prepare to challenge for the SWPL 2 title in the upcoming 2025/26 season. Both players were instrumental throughout the 2024/25 campaign, consistently featuring in Jack Beesley’s starting XI and playing vital roles in what was a season full of growth and promise.
Ronaigh Douglas, a mainstay at the club and a respected player on and off the pitch, brings experience, composure, and an unwavering commitment to the squad. Eilidh Davies, known for her creativity and work rate in midfield, continues to impress with her technical ability and game intelligence.
Ronaigh Douglas commented:

“I’m delighted to sign again with Spartans for next season. I’ve really enjoyed my first season here and loved playing with this group. The season didn’t end how we hoped, but I know we will continue to keep pushing each other to be better. I’m excited to continue developing, and for a new challenge next year.”

“Although last season had a disappointing outcome, Ronaigh’s performances were probably her most consistent across her time at the club and she proved herself to be one of the top full backs in SWPL1 last campaign. This season presents a different challenge, and one where Ronaigh’s quality, versatility, experience and constant display of exceptional standards will be invaluable for the club this season. I look forward to working with Ronaigh again this season, and continuing to see her develop on and off the pitch.”
“I’m delighted that Eilidh has chosen to sign again for Spartans this season. Despite having played 1st team football for a few seasons, last year at Spartans was her highest number of appearances in a season, and only some strong competition for places prevented her gaining more. She is reliable, works hard and is technically very good playing as either a 6 or an 8. She is also a phenomenal teammate and always gives her all, on and off the pitch. We look forward to working with Eilidh again this season”
