Spartans Women are delighted to announce the signing of Freya Brien ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
Having played her early career football through the Spartans Girls’ Academy, Freya returns with SWPL 1 and International experience that will stand her in good stead as the team make their return to the top flight.
Head Coach Jack Beesley was thrilled at securing the forward, “Freya has outstanding technical qualities and a strong physical presence. For someone so young she has good SWPL1 experience from her time with Dundee Utd and Montrose, and it’s great to welcome her back to Spartans after her years here in the Girls’ Academy. We hope she can add more creativity and more goals to the team, and I look forward to seeing her fight for a place in the starting 11.”
On her return to Spartans, Freya said, “I’m delighted to be back at this great club. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and getting started!”
