Jack Beesley’s summer signings continue with the arrival of Ava Crawford to the Vanloq Community Stadium from Hearts Women.
Ava, who made 1st team debut with Hearts last season, has represented Scottish Schools whilst also played in the recent Scotland u17s side who competed in the Euro Women Qualification tournament.
Manager Jack Beesley said, “We are delighted to welcome Ava to Spartans. Despite being young, Ava already has amassed great experiences, making her senior debut at Hearts last season and appearing regularly for Scotland.
“She is energetic and technically-strong, and can play as a 6, 8 or 10. With Erin Rennie’s departure we wanted someone with a similar profile and Ava fits this perfectly. She has a brilliant attitude and a mature head on her shoulders, and is another excellent midfield option for us alongside our more experienced players.”
New recruit Ava added, “I’m really excited about signing for Spartans and can’t wait to meet the players and work with the coaching staff. I’m grateful for the opportunity and looking forward to helping the club push for promotion back to SWPL1. I can’t wait to get started.”
