The Spartans are thrilled to announce our latest signing which sees Scotland age-grade Internationalist Emily Cadell join Jack Beesley’s side from Bristol City u21s.
Emily makes the move to the capital for University and looks to combine her studies with continuing a football journey that has seen the 18 year old pick up caps for Scotland at u16s, 17s and 19s level.
Jack Beesley said of the signing, “We’re delighted to welcome Emily to Edinburgh and to Spartans. She’s known to some of our squad through her selections for the Scotland U17 and U19s squads, and will give us great versatility at the top end of the pitch, able to play as a 9, a 10 or off either side.
“Having come through at Bristol City all the way up to U21s, she brings tempo, energy and high standards, all of which will complement our existing group well. We look forward to welcoming her into the group and seeing the undoubted impact she can make”
Speaking of her move, Emily Cadell added, “I’m really looking forward to joining Spartans this season and aim to be a strong contributor to the team with my creativity and attacking style of play.
“I can already see by Jack’s ambitions for the club that this is an exciting opportunity for me to make the next step up to senior football and to build on all that I have learned and achieved at Bristol City Academy over the last 8 years. I’m delighted to be signing for Spartans and can’t wait to get started!”
