Spartans kick off the new SWPL season with a home fixture against Rangers. The Glasgow side finished last season in third place whereas Spartans narrowly missed out on a top six spot.

Spartans finished last season with an incredible run, going unbeaten in 10, winning nine of those games. Momentum that the squad are hoping to carry into the new season.

The last time the two sides met, Rangers ran out 1-0 winners at Ainslie Park. A Brogan Hay goal the difference on that day.

Since the last time out, Rangers have added four summer signings in the form of Rachel Rowe, Rio Hardy, Michelle Colson and Sarah Ewens.

Debbi McCulloch has made three summer signings. Adding Tegan Browning, Lauren Berman and Naomi Sleator to strengthen the squad for the season ahead.
