Spartans FC are thrilled to announce that Sarah Clelland has put pen-to-paper on a new deal, seeing the full-back extend her stay at Ainslie Park.

Sarah has been an integral part of the club since joining in 2016 and has since went on to rack up 159 appearances for the Edinburgh side. A hugely popular figure in the dressing room, the full-back made her 150th appearance this season, captaining the side in an SWPL tie against Hearts.

After signing the contract extension, Sarah spoke of eagerness to build momentum on last season:
“I’m really grateful to sign a new contract here at Spartans. It’s a really exciting time for the club across the board. We had a really positive end to last season and we all can’t wait to build on that and take it into the season ahead.”
