We are thrilled to announce that Ria McCafferty has signed a contract extension, seeing the midfielder extend her stay at Ainslie Park after an impressive first season at the club.

Ria joined the club from Hibernian in July 2022 and quickly settled into life at Spartans. The influential and experienced midfielder made 26 appearances throughout her first season in red.

The 22-year-old stated her readiness to build on the work the team put in during her first season, including a 10 game unbeaten run to finish.
“I’m really looking forward to the new season. We all know the high standards we set for ourselves so I’m excited to build on the foundation we’ve laid as we move forward together.”
