Spartans FC can today confirm Louise Mason will depart the club upon the expiry of her contract this Summer.

Mason will depart the club as the Women’s record appearance holder, with 271 appearances to her name. The winger scored 39 goals in the process. Mason has had a great influence across her two spells at the club, first joining in 2010, has always been a leader on and off the pitch, and will depart a legend of Spartans Football Club.

On leaving the club, Mason had the below to say:

“Thank you Spartans,

To everyone at the club, coaches, staff, players past and present I want to thank you for being part of my journey for the last 14 years.

My time has come to depart the club and embrace new challenges. I feel incredibly privileged and proud to have been part of the growth here for such a long time and wish the club every success in the future.

There has been ups and down along the way. I have learnt some hard lessons but more importantly I have created the most amazing memories and made lifelong friends that will be with me forever!”
