Jack Beesley appointed Spartans Women FC First Team Head Coach.

Spartans FC are delighted to announce Jack Beesley as the new Head Coach of our Women’s First Team.

After a thorough search process we are delighted that Jack Beesley has accepted our offer to become our new Head Coach. Jack joins the club on a two-and-a-half year contract.

No stranger to the club, Jack Beesley makes his return to Ainslie Park having represented the Men’s side on 239 occasions, scoring 75 goals in the process. Jack enjoyed plenty of success during his time at the club as a player, spending seven seasons in the capital, including a trophy-laden season winning every cup and the league. Not only did Beesley influence the on-pitch efforts over his playing career in North Edinburgh, off-the-pitch Jack had the role of Football Development Manager during his stay at the club.

Jack’s effort over his time at Ainslie Park saw him depart a club legend, as he made his move to Broxburn Athletic in the year of 2017. At Broxburn Athletic, Jack had a dual role as player and Assistant Manager, spending three years at the club. Beesley moved on in 2022 when he accepted a role at Hearts where the 37-year-old would eventually make his move into the Women’s game. Initially Jack gained coaching experience in the Hearts Boys Academy before becoming National Academy Performance Manager for Hearts’ NAP18’s side.

On welcoming Beesley back to the club, Chairman Craig Graham stated the following:

“I am delighted to welcome Jack back to Spartans.  He is an outstanding coach and will drive our club forward.  We had a number of outstanding candidates however Jack’s experience developing young International players coupled with his ambition and drive made him the ideal candidate.  We are delighted he has accepted our offer”.

Welcome, Jack!
