Spartans FC are today delighted to announce the signing of the highly-rated Rebecca Foote.

Rebecca joins us off the back of a successful trial spell after the player departed previous club Dundee United. The 26 year-old made 29 appearances for Dundee United last year, starting each time. Foote has great experience in the SWPL, something Head Coach Debbi McCulloch stated would be a great asset for the upcoming season.

McCulloch on her fourth summer signing stated:
“We are delighted to welcome Rebecca to the Spartans Family. Her pedigree within the SWPL and women’s game in Scotland will add great value to our current squad. On the pitch Rebecca will add quality and composure in our midfield with her leadership skills adding great value off the pitch.”

On making the switch to the capital, Rebecca spoke of her excitement at joining the club:
“I am delighted to sign for Spartans! The club is well established and have been very welcoming. I am looking forward to the opportunity to challenge myself and am excited to be part of a great club.”
